06/16/2013

Grant Clyde, Carlos RodonOMAHA, NE – Carlos Rodon threw a complete game five-hitter as NC State downed conference rivals North Carolina 8-1 on Sunday at TD Ameritrade Park.

Rodon struck out eight and allowed just a single run in the bottom of the 9th inning after the game was well in hand.

All but one member of the Wolfpack batting order reached base on the day as a balanced attack plated eight runs on eight Tar Heel pitchers – including four in the top of the third to blow the game wide open.

Kevin Kugler and John Bishop called the action.
