Big South Championship Highlights: Liberty 87 – Charleston Southern 76

Big South Conference Championship BasketballMYRTLE BEACH, SC – John Caleb Sanders scored 27 points as Liberty downed Charleston Southern 87-76 in the Big South Championship game to earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Davon Marshall also came up huge for the Flames, knocking down six of seven from three-point range.

At 15-20, Liberty becomes the first 20-loss team to make the field since Coppin State in 2008. It is the Flames’ first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2004.

Gary Cohen and Kevin Grevey called the action on Dial Global Sports.
