Tony’s Take: Defenseless players and 15-yard penalties

One of the ongoing stories in the NFL this season is the enforcement of new rules aimed at protecting so-called “defenseless” players. The issue, of course, is that with the speed of the game, sometimes it is hard for officials to tell what is a legal or an illegal hit.

In this week’s installment of Tony’s Take, our Tony Boselli says the rules are actually compromising player safety and not helping it — and gives his opinion on what he thinks the NFL can do to better to protect players.
