This week’s AutoZone “In the Zone” Player of the Week for college football is truly a no-brainer: West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith.
The sensational senior for the Mountaineers put up massive numbers in his team’s 70-63 victory over Baylor last weekend. Smith put up 656 yards on 45 completions and eight touchdowns against the Bears – all of which set new school records! He even threw for more touchdowns (8) than incompletions (6). The 8 TD passes also tied a Big 12 Conference record – in West Virginia’s first game as a member of the league!
Geno Smith was definitely “In the Zone” and he’s our AutoZone College Football Player of the Week.
