SAN DIEGO – Trailing 24-0 at the half, the Denver Broncos ran off 35 unanswered second-half points as they defeated the San Diego Chargers 35-24 on Monday Night Football.
Peyton Manning threw for 309 yards and three second-half touchdowns and the Broncos’ defense also added two scores – a 65-yd fumble recovery and return for a touchdown by Tony Carter and an 46-yard interception return for a touchdown by Chris Harris.
In all, San Diego coughed the ball up six times, including five turnovers in the second half. It all led to Denver becoming the first team in NFL history to rally from a 24-point deficit to win a game by a double-digit margin.
Kevin Harlan and Dan Fouts called the action on Dial Global Sports.
