Brian Kelly on Notre Dame’s move to the ACC, Michigan State and more

It was a big week for Notre Dame athletics as the school announced its plan to move all sports – except football – to the ACC.

While the football program will maintain its independence, Irish officials did agree to schedule five Atlantic Coast Conference opponents every season, which will likely change the landscape of the annual football schedule.

When he spoke with Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly, our Chuck Cooperstein asked about the impending move to the ACC, which traditional rivals Kelly would like to see stay on the Irish schedule and — oh yeah — a little something about a rather important game this weekend as the Golden Domers take on Michigan State in a primetime showdown in East Lansing.
