LONDON – Jenn Suhr finally got the pole vaulting gold medal she’s been chasing.
The American’s 15’7″ best vault was enough to capture the top spot on a rainy, windy night at the Olympic Stadium.
After her triumph she stopped by to talk with our Kevin Kugler and John Tautges.

Another American earned a medal on Monday night as Michael Tinsley surprised many to take the silver in the 400-meter hurdles. Tinsley finished behind Felix Sanchez of the Dominican Republic. Sanchez’s victory was an emotional one as he was running in honor of his late grandmother.
After the race, John Tautges caught up with Michael Tinsley and Steve Futterman spoke with Felix Sanchez.
