LONDON – Katie Ledecky is the youngest member of the American Olympic delegation in London. So after she captured gold in the 800-meter freestyle on Friday, there’s no doubt the 15-year-old will be the youngest American to medal in these Games.
Ledecky is also the youngest athlete in any sport from any country to win gold since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
After her American-record-setting swim in the 800, she spoke with our Kevin Kugler and John Tautges.
