OMAHA — Erik Payne’s bases-clearing triple put South Carolina ahead for good as the Gamecocks continued their winning ways in Omaha with a 7-3 victory over Florida.
South Carolina is looking for its third consecutive College World Series championship and now they’ll do it through the winner’s bracket with a game Monday against Arkansas.
Florida will face Kent State Monday in an elimination game.
