OMAHA — For the first time since 1986, the Arizona Wildcats will play for a national championship in baseball.
Arizona ran its record in Omaha this year to 3-0 courtesy of a six-run first inning and strong pitching from starter Kurt Heyer, who allowed just two runs over seven and a third innings.
Robert Refsnyder and Bobby Brown homered for the Wildcats, who will face either Arkansas or South Carolina in the best-of-three championship series beginning on Sunday.
Kevin Kugler and John Bishop called the action.
